How are innovators building skills for mothers and fathers?
Stepping Stones, which began with a primary focus on building skills and knowledge in early childhood development for staff at national network childcare centers in India, subsequently involved mothers, fathers and grandparents in learning positive parenting skills during home visits by field workers.
Learning Clubs. In Vietnam, mothers and fathers attending the Learning Clubs program participated in facilitated group sessions and one home visit focused on building skills and knowledge to optimize mother and infant health and increase father participation in child care while minimizing the potential for family violence.
